The diesel particulate filter (DPF) is a filter fitted in the exhaust system to catch harmful toxins from diesel exhaust gasses before they exit into the atmosphere. A DPF filter is not like a catalytic converter in any way other than where it is located. The diesel particle filter requires specific maintenance and even then it can and will eventually get blocked up.
Once the DPF is blocked and cleaning is no longer effective it will require replacing and replacement DPF filters can be very expensive. A replacement DPF for a 2007 Mazda 6 2.0D for example comes in at just under £2000 and requires programming when fitting.
Our DPF Delete service is a great alternative whereby we de-active the entire DPF system to have your vehicle running like a standard diesel should without the fuss of a diesel particulate filter. No need to follow maintainence runs up and down the motorway, no need to regenerate the filter or get it chemically cleaned. Drive the vehicle as and how you want and never worry about the expensive costs of having the replace the diesel particle filter ever again.
Some of the benefits from our DPF Delete service:
- Increased power & performance
- Increased life expectancy of turbo & engine
- Increased fuel economy
- Sharper throttle response
- No DPF faults or warning lights
- No loss of power or limp mode
- No smoking issues or regenerations
- Lifetime warranty
Note: From February 2014 the inspection of the exhaust system carried out during the MoT test will include a visual check for the presence of a DPF. A missing DPF, where one was fitted when the vehicle was built, will result in an MoT failure. ECU Repairs only recommends DPF Removal for off road use.
I live in Kampala Uganda. Is it possible for me to send you ecu’s for DPF deleting?
